Veals Company History
In 1846 Veals was established in Bristol. Over the years it became Bristol's premier fishing tackle retailer. In the 1960's a mail order service was introuced and this was developed to the extent it proved very difficult to combine the needs of a retail shop and the mail order business. So in 1992, Veals Mail Order was formed as a totally separate company, in new larger premises, to provide a dedicated mail order service.
Our priciples then and now, were to provide a service for our customers that is second to none.

- We hold large stocks to try and minimise stock shortages as much as possible.
- We try to treat you, as we would like to be treated ourselves.

To provide the service levels needed we have always invested in technology
- 1989 Bought an Amstrad computer ( upgraded 1mg model!! ).
- 1998 One of the first, if not the first, UK fishing web site.
- 2003 Our first catalogue with its mix of tackle and informative articles.
- 2006 A new web site designed to be more informative and inter-active.
- 2010 Revised software to try and provide an even faster turn around on onlineorders. We will always strive to give you great service, products, and deals in the same friendly, efficient way that has seen Veals Mail Order become the leading saltwater tackle supplier in Britain.
