New Maria Lures For 2008

The three lures in the news archive below are now all in stock.

"With the Christmas and New Year holidays upon us bass lure fishing for many of us is now just a distant memory. Now is however the time when we start to think of new lures to stock for the 2008 season. Back in early October we received a few samples from the Maria factory in Japan and after some hasty late season testing we have picked three new lures to stock next year.
The Chase BW has become a very popular sub surface lure and the three colours we already stock have all proved themselves to be good fish catchers. There were a few new colours in our samples and one in particular, holographic blue with a red belly, proved to be very effective. We tried it on three occasions and it caught fish each time and on two of the trips it out fished the other lures we were using including the normally deadly holographic silver Chase BW.
The Pop Queen has proved to be a steady selling surface lure which casts well and with its
"sit up and beg" action has started to account for a number of bass. We ran out of these lures in the summer as the previous blue colour was no longer available. For 2008 we have reintroduced the Pop Queen but in an all new translucent green mackerel colour.
The last new lure is the 120mm Bull Chop and this is like no other lure we sell as it is a slow sinking popper!! Weighing 40gms means that it casts like a bullet and at rest it slowly sinks. As soon as you start to retrieve the concave face lifts the lure to the surface where a jerky retrieve sees it splutter along the top. Brief pauses allow the bull chop to sink slowly like a dying bait fish before you once again get it moving towards the surface. Dave had great fun with the Bull Chop in
Mexico when chasing small jack trevallies off the beach and we are sure at times it will prove deadly for bass as well."
