Weston Outcast Open
Sunday saw the first open beach match of 2007 at Burnham-on-Sea. 80+ anglers lined the beach and after some recent reasonable catches hopes were high. The match did indeed produce plenty of fish but the struggle was to find one above the minium size. Jansen did just this and his 2 codling for 5lb proved enough to win the match. Second spot went to Rob Marshall of Taunton with a codling and a whiting. The only other sizeable codling caught proved to be enough to secure third place for veteran weston match man Pete Walker.
The next Burnham match is the Outcast BARB charity match on February 25th
