Westin Flat Matt
Small flatfish are an important prey species on sandy beaches and the Westin Flat Matt is a superb imitation of a little plaice or flounder.
The lure has an incredibly realistic swimming action on the drop aided by the curl tail and side skirts. The normal way to fish the lure is to let it drop to the sea bed and then retrieve it with a mix of a slow steady retrieve, quick flicks of the rod tip and a few pauses. This causes Westin Flat Matt to kick up little puffs of sand whilst the tail action then proves too tempting for the fish to resist. Flatfish however do not always sulk on the bottom so it is worth trying a faster retrieve as an alternative presentation.
The lure comes with both the standard curl tail body and a more natural tailed body which has an amazingly realistic swimming action.
