This handy sliding reel seat fitting allows you to position the fishing reel in the perfect position to suit your personal style of fishing and casting. It is easy to use as the action of screwing the reel into the seat causes the recessed foot to clamp down, locking it solidly in place. Available in four different sizes that will suit the majority of beach (or boat) rods.

I am a rod builder by trade, and nowadays don't get out as much as maybe I should, These reel seats were purchased for top up stock as a lot of my customers chop and change there fishing style due to some rods now being 50 /50 as in multi or F/S use, so this type of reel seat is an excellent choice for those that prefer the freedom of having the reel seat that they can change position with.......I have read some of the reviews on these reel seats which appear to be a bit negative, for those of you that have not used these seats before the internal bore jumps by 2 mm increments so there fore if the outside bore of the butt is say 24.5 mm you will need a 26 mm internal bore......the spacing fix between butt and seat is simple ......electrical tape or something on a par is required. Wrap tape around butt for example 4 turns noting where you started and finish just before the stating point.... check to see if reel seat will fit, it needs to be tight but not so tight that you have to use excessive force......fit further wraps ideally 5 wraps in total, paying attention to the tongue which will need one wrap under the flexible end and one half way down the tongue. Your aim is to give the reel seat even support.......NOTE The most important part of the wraps is to make sure you do not over lap the start of the tape on the last wrap as this will affect your work by increasing the wraps from 4 wraps to the thickness of 5 wraps.
