The Blackrock California Surf 2G 4200 makes a very good all round surf rod for general beach casting.
The 3 section 20T High Modulus carbon blank has a tubular tip and the rapid recovery action gives you good casting performance. The Blackrock California Surf 2G 4200 works well with simple overhead casting styles and can also be cast off the ground if you prefer. The tip sits nicely in the tide and shows bites very well.
It has an action which is perfect for playing fish. It allows you to feel smaller fish but has the power to help you land rays, hounds, and other larger species.
Blackrock California Surf 2G 4200 has a stunning burnt orange finish. This coupled with the SeaGuide KWAG guides and Fuji DPS reel seat give the rod a look which belies its very reasonable price tag.
