Colmic Iridata 450 is a lightweight, balanced and powerful rod which has a slim diameter and is a dream to fish with.
The 3 section blank is built from Colmic’s Pro-Force carbon and has their internal U.L.A.F. reinforcement. This uses long strands of carbon to give greater reactivity in the cast and improved recovery for extra zip in the cast and improved distances.
The Colmic Iridata 450 is easy to load when casting and will respond well to an overhead cast but it has ample power in reserve which you can tap into with more advanced casting styles.
The super slim 1.45mm solid carbon tip gives superb sensitivity but doesn’t just fold in the tide helping you to spot bites when fishing at range. The rod is well suited to clean/mixed beaches and is ideal for targeting smaller species but is well capable of taking on bigger species.
The Colmic Iridata 450 has a superb feel when playing a fish making you as keen to use it for playing a fast running hound as for feeling every lunge of plaice as you bring it in from 150m out to sea.
It is a beautifully made rod with a SST Hi-Tech super sliding tech low friction finish, subtle graphics on the butt and the Fuji CCMANG guides are well whipped with understated black thread. The joints are reinforced and have a textured section to help with assembling the rod.
