HTO Tempest Rock Rover – Designed for the travelling, ultra-light angler. It breaks down into 4 sections measuring 60 cm and comes with both a solid and a tubular tip. It is small enough to fit hand luggage, ideal for taking on holiday or to keep in the car. The ideal rod for the roving angler who is walking miles to their chosen water, it packs down neat enough to fit in a drink’s holder on a rucksack. It measures 6ft 11in (2.11 m) when assembled. Coming with two tip styles, this eliminates the need for the angler to take two different rods on holiday with them, the one rod can do it all.
The Solid Tip has been designed to be used with jig heads on the drop and for reducing the resistance felt by species that inhale a bait. The soft tip provides very little resistance to the fish but will twitch and curve as a fish is playing with the bait. Ideal for shy biting fish.
The Tubular Tip has been designed for working smaller crank baits and heavier metal lures. It offers you more feel and is great for bouncing jig heads along the bottom.
HTO named each Tempest rod based on the type of fishing it’s suited for. Instead of aimless length and weight descriptions, they’ve given you an idea of what each rod is designed to do.
HTO Tempest Rock Rover is made from a high-volume 40-ton Japanese carbon, this helps keep the blanks light but ultra-strong and crisp. It aids the recovery, making these the most accurate, distance casting tools HTO ever produced at this price. They’ve further strengthened the blanks by using X-Tec Mesh, this unique wrap protects the integrity of the blank, further enhancing HTO Tempest Rock Rover performance and durability.
A wise man once said, “to add speed, add lightness” — to that end, HTO looked at each rod and removed several whippings to reduce their weight, many rods have unnecessary whippings around the reel seats and butt caps. These are merely cosmetic, but add weight. HTO also think this minimalistic style looks cool, too!
All rods are built using Fuji Guides and Fuji Reel Seats.
