Bluey (Pacific Saury) isn’t a native species but its super oily flesh makes it a superb bait for a range of different species, both saltwater and freshwater.

Most fish can’t resist a bit of oily Bluey but it is particularly popular with anglers targeting rays.

It is best filleted and then cut into the correct size strips to suit the fish you are after. For rays half a fillet is about right and adding a strip of squid alongside the bluey both adds some extra toughness but also makes a very attractive cocktail bait. Small strips of bluey are very good for whiting and bream.

Also a widely popular option for freshwater predators, fished in sections ledgered on the bottom.

Bluey is a soft bait so it needs to be secured with bait elastic.

Pack contains 2 or 3 whole bluey approx 10″-11″ in length.

• We use a DPD Next Day courier service for all shipments containing frozen products (charges apply)
• We are unable to dispatch frozen orders on a Friday or near a Bank Holiday (additional Saturday delivery options are available)
• You will receive a confirmation email when your order has been dispatched. The courier will supply updates and a time slot for delivery
• We are unable to accept responsibility for spoiled bait if no one is available to accept the delivery.
• The order should be delivered the next working day after dispatch, orders placed before 2pm (Tues-Thurs) will be dispatched the same day
• It is possible the bait may arrive defrosted but still cold, this will not effect the quality or integrity of the bait, but we recommend refreezing the goods immediately
• Devon Baits supply some of the best quality blast frozen bait available
