The Shizuka SK9 8000 Surf Reel is a full sized beach reel designed for long casting with light nylon or braid.
The one way clutch, balanced rotor and 4.6:1 retrieve give a nice smooth retrieve. The aluminium handle on the Shizuka SK9 8000 Surf Reel has a comfortable rubber knob to give a good grip.
The front drag uses carbon washers to give a smooth range of setting up to the maximum 18kg. This allows you to confidently play large fish, even on lighter lines.
The long cast aluminium spool is tapered to give improved line flow allowing you to make long smooth casts. The standard shallow spool is perfect for fine diameter nylon or braid favoured for continental style beach fishing. The Shizuka SK9 8000 Surf Reel is supplied with a spare 9000 size spool which gives a larger capacity allowing the use of heavier lines.
