The Akios Nitron F-16 is a re-engineered powerhouse long-distance casting reel, developed with every component refined for maximum performance. Its newly designed CNC-machined X-Frame tournament cage, built from aircraft-grade aluminium, provides ultra-rigid stability, reduced distortion during casting, and tighter spool tolerances. Combined with a redesigned spool, it handles low-diameter lines down to 0.32mm for extreme casting potential.
Casting control is taken to the next level with the QUADRO-MAG+ braking system, offering 13 precise adjustments for complete versatility. Fully wound, it launches heavy baits with zero overrun; dialled off, it frees the spool for blistering tournament distances.
Equipped with five precision bearings — including ABEC 5 spool bearings, a pinion gear bearing, and IAR — the Nitron F-16 delivers flawless smoothness and strength. A 6.2:1 gear ratio and EVA power handle provide rapid line recovery and powerful retrieves, while the upgraded multi-disk carbon drag system ensures total control with up to 15 kg (26 lb) of stopping power.
