The Fenix HM65R V2 Niteray is an exclusive UK edition of the latest HM65R V2.0 rechargeable headlamp, developed to provide greater output, finer lighting control and improved comfort. Building upon the proven performance of the original HM65R, the Fenix HM65R V2 Niteray combines the advances of the V2.0 platform with additional brightness settings, specially tuned operating modes and Fenix’s SPORT click-adjustable headband.

Capable of producing up to 2200 lumens with a maximum beam distance of 230 metres, the Fenix HM65R V2 Niteray combines a powerful spotlight with a broad, even floodlight. The spotlight provides useful long-range visibility, while the floodlight delivers comfortable illumination across the immediate area. Both sources can also be combined using multiple user-selectable settings, allowing the beam to be adapted to everything from close-up work to navigating open ground in complete darkness.

The UK-only Fenix HM65R V2 Niteray specification provides five spotlight levels, four floodlight levels and six red-light levels. Additional outputs not found on the standard HM65R V2.0 include a 350-lumen spotlight, 50-lumen floodlight and 3-lumen and 85-lumen red settings. Dual top-mounted switches provide simple independent control, while double-clicking the left switch gives direct access to the red-light modes. Electronic brightness memory also recalls the previously selected spotlight and floodlight settings.

A specially tuned 14-hour work mode combines a broad 150-lumen floodlight with a 25-lumen spotlight. This provides clear close-range illumination without excessive glare, while retaining enough reach for looking beyond the immediate work area. It is a practical option for tradespeople, professionals, anglers and home users requiring dependable light over an extended period.

For discreet illumination, the broad 3-lumen red stealth mode helps preserve night vision, minimise disturbance and provide an exceptionally long operating time. The additional red-light levels allow the output to be matched more precisely to fishing, camping, navigation, professional work and low-visibility applications.

Its industrial-quality magnesium body is approximately 30% lighter than an equivalent aluminium construction while remaining exceptionally rugged. IP68-rated protection allows the headlamp to withstand submersion to two metres, while two-metre impact resistance provides additional reassurance in demanding outdoor, caving and industrial environments. Intelligent overheating protection automatically manages the output when the temperature reaches 55°C.

The Fenix HM65R V2 Niteray is powered by an included, replaceable Fenix ARB-L18-3400 18650 rechargeable battery. Its protected internal USB-C charging port supports a rapid charging time of approximately 2.5 hours, and the headlamp can continue operating while connected to a power source. A four-LED indicator provides a clear view of the remaining battery or charging level.

Fenix’s SPORT click-adjustable headband allows fast and precise adjustment while the lamp is being worn. Its reflective lettering improves nighttime visibility, while an integrated emergency whistle provides an additional safety feature. A conventional buckle-adjustable around-head band is also included and can be easily fitted for caving, industrial work and other demanding applications. Electronic and physical lockout functions help prevent accidental activation during transport or storage.
