Shimano Nasci C5000XG FD

Shimano Nasci C5000XG FD

The Shimano Nasci C5000XG FD is built for anglers who want high-end performance without the premium price tag. Designed to deliver precision, power, and long-term reliability, the Nasci range combines Shimano’s advanced engineering with a sleek, understated design that performs as good as it looks. This model is ideal for anglers who need fast retrieves, smooth operation, and dependable strength in a lightweight package.

At the heart of the Nasci is Shimano’s legendary HAGANE Gear, working in combination with X-SHIP and Infinity Drive to provide ultra-smooth and powerful rotation. This setup delivers efficient power transmission when under load, making it easier to control hard-fighting fish and heavier lures. Silent Drive further refines performance by eliminating internal noise and vibration, giving you whisper-quiet operation and a noticeably smoother feel during retrieve.

The G Free Body design shifts the Shimano Nasci C5000XG FD’s centre of gravity closer to the rod, creating better balance and reducing fatigue during extended sessions. Casting performance is enhanced by Shimano’s AR-C spool and precise line lay, allowing for longer, more controlled casts. CoreProtect (IPX4) water resistance adds extra durability for use in wet and saltwater conditions, while the Anti-Twist Fin improves line management and prevents slack line around the bail arm.

With its extra high gear ratio of 6.2:1 and rapid 105 cm line retrieval per crank, the Shimano Nasci C5000XG FD is perfectly suited to fast lure fishing, long-range casting, and applications where speed and control are essential. Lightweight at just 300 g, it remains comfortable to fish with all day while delivering the strength needed for bigger species.
