Ultima Pulley Pennel Rig – The Ultimate Rig for Big Fish and Long Casts
The Ultima Pulley Pennel Rig is one of the most trusted and effective rigs for targeting larger species from the shore, including bass, cod, ray, dogfish, and smoothhound. Designed for anglers who need a rig that can handle big baits like mackerel, squid, or whole fish, it delivers exceptional bait presentation, reduced tangles, and improved hook-up rates – even in challenging conditions.
Its pulley system keeps the bait elevated during casting, ensuring smooth, long-distance casts while minimising the risk of tangling. Once in the water, the rig naturally positions the bait close to the seabed—exactly where bottom-feeding predators are searching for food. The Pennel rig component, featuring two hooks, allows for secure presentation of larger baits, increasing hooking efficiency.
Perfect for fishing over rough ground, rocks, or snag-prone areas, the Ultima Pulley Pennel Rig’s design also helps reduce the chance of snagging, giving you more confidence when targeting trophy-sized fish.
